The 2013 Cadillac XTS focuses on space, comfort and luxury aimed at an older, mellower crowd, primarily in the U.S. and Chinese markets. The XTS, a large, roomy luxury sedan replaces the former DTS and STS models. Unveiled at the 2011 LA Auto Show, the 2013 Cadillac XTS looks a befitting rival to the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class. From the innovative CUE7 driver interface, which leaps two generations ahead, to its groundbreaking safety technology, the all-new Cadillac XTS is a bold look at what the future holds. Its provocative profile pulls you in, while our revolutionary dual-mode Magnetic Ride Control and 304 HP underfoot provide immediate exhilaration. The 2013 Cadillac XTS is available in either front- or all-wheel-drive versions and come in Standard, Premium, Luxury, and Platinum trims. Interior space in the XTS is at the top of its class, so it's no surprise Cadillac will be pushing this as the new livery vehicle to replace the Lincoln Town Car. The trunk boasts 18 cubic-feet of cargo space. The ride is expected to be compliant and comfortable, with GM's HiPer Strut front suspension, Magnetic Ride Control, Brembo brakes, and rear air suspension all standard.
Powering the Cadillac XTS
The XTS is powered by a 3.6-liter direct injected V6 rated at 300 horsepower and 264 pound-feet of torque and mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The all-wheel-drive version of the 2013 XTS is equipped with an intervening braking system to help avoid collisions. Powerful yet remarkably efficient, the all-new XTS delivers an exhilarating driving experience with a refined 304 HP 3.6L direct-injection V6 engine. When you call for power, the XTS answers immediately. The revolutionary dual-mode Magnetic Ride Control works in tandem with cutting-edge HiPer Strut technology to adjust seamlessly to the road and help keep the tires keyed to the surface. The result is a flawless ride—however refined or athletic you desire.
Design of the 2013 XTS
Lines are still sharp and distinctive. As is the rage these days, the Cadillac XTS sports a chrome grille with a big, prominent badge, and 20-inch wheels that cut an imposing figure. Looking in the XTS cabin one will find technology abound, including the new Cadillac User Experience (CUE) infotainment system, standard on the Platinum trim. A refreshing change from the myriad buttons found on the last generation of Cadillacs, the CUE system controls climate, audio and other in-car systems using only three buttons and an 8-inch touchscreen, the latter of which has a proximity sensor which can tell when fingers are near the screen. The CUE system also displays the vehicle's gauges electronically via four selectable themes. A rearward-facing camera and a network of sensors work together to warn the driver if traffic, pedestrians or other objects are in the way. The driver can be alerted of impending hazards via a chime or a vibrating seat.

And the innovative CUE7 —Cadilac User Experience—seamlessly integrates vehicle controls and entertainment into one intelligently-designed interface.
XTS Luxury Collection features torque-vectoring All Wheel Drive (AWD). Combined with an electronic limited-slip differential, AWD helps optimize traction as well as provide enhanced acceleration. Conclusions
Only slightly modified from the XTS concept which appeared at the Detroit auto show in 2010, the 2013 Cadillac XTS writes the next chapter in Cadillac's Art and Science design formula.
